With a long-awaited day of sunshine finally gracing New Jersey this past weekend, our Viventium team was excited to get going for our latest Viventium Under the Stars event.  Our employees lined up at the starting line to support Walk MS in a charity walk in Clark, NJ.

Viventium Under the Stars is our own employee wellness movement that helps us to promote a culture of physical and mental wellness.  We bring employees together to experience life in new ways with alternative health and fitness outings because we know that a culture of health promotes a stronger workplace, improved teamwork and communication, and a better relationship between employees and clients.

Walk MS is the 12th largest fundraising event in the United States, raising money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Multiple sclerosis is a debilitating nervous system disease that disrupts the flow of information both within the brain and between the brain and the rest of the body.  It currently affects over 2.3 million people worldwide, and scientists are still working both toward identifying the cause of MS and toward finding a cure.  Our Viventium team was proud to help raise money to fund this incredible cause.

Everyone attending the walk, both on our team and others, was ecstatic to be out in the sunshine.  The walk was three miles long, and even though a shortcut was available, no one took it!  We enjoyed the music playing in the background, the volunteers cheering us on from the sidelines, and unending energy of all the participants.  Walk MS even allowed us to bring our kids – a great transition after having so much fun hosting Take Your Child to Work Day in our offices last week – and some walkers even brought their dogs out to enjoy the day!

As always, it was great having the Viventium team come together for such a remarkable movement – and we're looking forward to the next Under the Stars event!

And the Viventium spirit of living and giving back to the community shines throughout all of our employees – even when we're not together!  Our CEO, Dan Neuburger, led his family in the Parkinson's Unity Walk through Central Park in NYC Saturday morning.  The walk raised awareness and funds to cure Parkinson's disease, a neurodegenerative disorder impacting over ten million people worldwide.  We are proud of every member of our Viventium team making a remarkable difference!
