Recent federal changes have significantly increased the compliance risks associated with Form I-9, making now the time for employers to review their hiring and onboarding practices. Join us for an important webinar examining the latest I-9 requirements, including the mandatory transition to the new Form I-9 (expiring 5/31/27)) Edition 01/20/25) and ICE's recent enforcement changes that have raised the stakes for common documentation errors.
Beginning August 1, 2026, employers must use the new Form I-9 for all new hires. At the same time, ICE has reclassified several common paperwork mistakes from technical errors to substantive violations, eliminating the opportunity to correct them before fines are imposed. In addition, DHS has revoked the work authorizations of certain employees who successfully completed the I-9/E-Verify process. This session will help employers understand these changes, identify high-risk areas within their onboarding processes, and implement best practices to strengthen compliance and reduce the risk of costly penalties.
Designed for human resources professionals, compliance officers, operations leaders, and anyone responsible for hiring and onboarding, this webinar will provide practical guidance you can apply immediately.
